About Renee

I'm 26, currently living in Invercargill with my partner. I have a good job as a Communications Officer in the public sector but my bills still exceed my income. The way I have always dealt with my problems is to talk about them. My debt has been a problem for so long, yet I kept it private. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner!

You go girl, nearly there! Please don’t be like my friend..after years of advice and encouragement she finally paid off her consumer debt, which took two years. She wa sdebt free exactly one month before she jumped in buying a large flat screen TV and putting costs of a house move “on tick” whoch she she knew she had to dave for, but did not. I dont know the sum, and I don’t want to know, but sounds like a minimum of $4000 back in debt..argghh!!!!!! So you’re doing well, but prepare yourself for the NEXT step, saving for what you want instead of borrowing. Good on you Renee, keep going!

Thanks, I definitely won’t! Since starting this blog and my debt free journey, the way I think about money has completely changed. I plan on keeping a budget even once I’m out of debt, I don’t plan on spending up large once I’m debt free, there are a number of things I want for my future and I plan on saving for them all and not financing anything until I buy my first house if I can help it!
